Blessed completion of Meditation Retreat with Ven. Sujiva

We rejoice in the completion of the retreat and also convey our thanks to the organising committee and volunteers for their service.

Today, Sunday 19 November, 35 yogis and volunteers have just completed a 7-day Meditation Retreat with Ven. Sujiva at Wisdom Park.  In this past week, yogis have been ardent in their efforts by observing noble silence and adhering to the hourly sitting and walking from the early hours in the morning until the late evening, to hone their mindfulness and see things as they really are.

Ven. Sujiva guided them through the daily interviews, offering his advice and encouragement to help them progress through the challenges.  In the daily evening talks, he gave further instructions and cautionary advice to ensure that the yogis dispel any misconceptions or confusion.

We extend our appreciation to Ven. Sujiva for conducting this retreat for yogis to deepen their mental cultivation towards experiencing the truths of impermanence, suffering, and non-self (anicca, dukkha and anatta).  May the yogis continue diligently on their path, and also heed Venerable’s advice to practice mindfulness in their daily lives.  Sadhu!

In the early hours of the morning, yogis diligently use the time to hone their mindfulness.

We thank Ven. Sujiva for leading this retreat and wish him good health as well as success in his noble endeavours.
