Families experience the joy of Dhamma at stay-in programme

Grateful for a 3-day 2-night stay in a conducive and peaceful environment while experiencing the Joy of Dhamma.

From 27 to 29 June, over 80 participants and volunteers from Nalanda Dhamma Schools in Serdang, Kuala Lumpur, and Johor Bahru came together at Wisdom Park for a Family Stay-in Programme. Themed “Joy of Dhamma”, this meaningful gathering allowed families from different regions to connect through shared learning, reflection, and wholesome fun in a peaceful setting.

Throughout the three-day programme, families took part in Dhamma learning sessions and activities designed to deepen their understanding of Buddhist values while strengthening bonds between parents and children. One of the most memorable highlights was the shadow puppet performance, where families creatively told stories based on Dhamma teachings —  lighting up the night with laughter, applause, and heartfelt moments under the open sky.

Joyfully receiving participants and volunteers who departed early morning from Johor Bahru.

We are deeply grateful for the dedication of Dhamma speakers, organisers, facilitators, and volunteers who created a joyful and supportive environment. Families returned home uplifted, inspired to live the Dhamma more fully, and more connected with one another. May this joyful beginning spark many more such opportunities to grow together in the Dhamma. Sadhu!

We are grateful to Bro. Phala for giving his time to guide parents in this programme.

Sis. Nandini also conducted learning sessions with parents, explaining the four principles of living.

Sis. See Hui Shien, the Director of Nalanda Dhamma School sharing the Dhamma with the children.

Parents also had a Dhamma chat with Ven. Chi-Kwang Sunim, who was on a visit to Wisdom Park.

A precious opportunity to offer meal to the Sangha.

Every morning and evening, participants immersed themselves in spiritual practice of meditation and chanting.

We are grateful to all volunteers who supported the programme relentlessly.

All geared up for a beautiful day outdoor.

At the conclusion of the programme, participants shared their thoughts and rejoice with each others’ progress.

Deepest gratitude to Sis. Nandini for guiding us in the stay-in programme.
