From Movement to Stillness

From Movement to Stillness

On Wednesday 5 August, devotees gathered at Nalanda Centre for the weekly meditation session, guided by Ven. Dr. Tejawaro Mahāthera, who was back from Taiwan for “The Fragrance of the Dhamma: A Musical & Yoga Performance” (法语花香).

The session began with gentle yoga led by yoga teachers, helping participants relax the body from head to toe.  Through mindful movements and relaxation, participants gradually settled into a meditation posture, experiencing the transition from movement to stillness.

During the Dhamma sharing, Ven. Tejawaro explained the characteristics of the mind and guided participants to observe its restless nature.  By learning to recognise and understand the mind as it is, we can gradually calm it and cultivate greater stillness and clarity.

We extend our appreciation to Ven. Tejawaro and the yoga teachers for their meaningful teaching and guidance.  May they continue their good work in sharing the Dhamma and cultivating the path in Taiwan.  Sādhu!
