Nalanda community prepares for Buddha Day

In just over two weeks’ time, Buddhists around the world will be celebrating Wesak or Buddha Day – a deeply significant occasion to honour and commemorate our Teacher, the Buddha. At Nalanda, this year’s Buddha Day observance week will be held from 30 May to 7 June.

In preparation for this important celebration, the Buddha Day Working Committee recently came together to provide updates on progress, review plans, and fine-tune the programme arrangements.  With joyful hearts and a shared spirit of service, all divisions of the Nalanda community gathered to support the preparations for the meaningful line-up of programmes, including Pindacāra, Dhamma talks, exhibitions, mass food offerings, heritage procession, performances, blood donation drive, and many more wholesome activities.

We look forward to welcoming everyone to Nalanda Buddhist Society’s Buddha Day commemoration in Sri Serdang.  May you and your loved ones join us in the various programmes throughout the observance period as we come together in gratitude, reflection, and celebration of the Buddha’s Enlightenment.
