On Saturday 20 June, Nalanda members and volunteers gathered for the monthly Pindacāra (alms-round) at Pasar Basah Bazar Rakyat, Seri Kembangan, led by Ven. Rathana Sri and Ven. Rahula from Sri Lanka Buddhist Temple, Sentul. The serene presence of the Sangha members walking mindfully on alms-round inspired many members of the market community to come forward and make offerings.
Volunteers shared several meaningful reflections from the morning. One volunteer assisted a frail elderly lady who, due to her health condition, wished to but was unable to approach the monks. With support, she was able to offer dāna and shed tears of joy, grateful for the opportunity to make offerings to the Sangha.

Another touching moment involved a young boy who was initially hesitant to offer alms. With gentle encouragement from his father and volunteers, he made his first offering to the Sangha, planting seeds of generosity and respect in his young mind.
A market vendor also expressed her faithful support by mindfully preparing offerings every month, inspiring volunteers to strengthen their own commitment to service.

We rejoice in the faith, generosity, and devotion of the market community and the many wholesome lessons arising from Pindacāra. Sadhu! Sadhu! Sadhu!
