Nalanda Buddhist Society is planning to print a Dhamma book authored by Ajahn Buddhadāsa (1906-1993), a revered teacher who attracted many disciples to his monastery – Suan Mokkh in Chaiya, Thailand – to learn and practise Dhamma.
We intend to print 6,000 copies of “Nibbāna for Everyone” – a book that talks about the highest goal of Dhamma practice, which is the attainment of liberation from suffering. Ajahn Buddhadāsa explained the term ‘Nibbāna’ succinctly as intended in the original Pāli scriptures.
Besides the above NEW book, we also intend to reprint 12,000 copies of 3 other titles by Ajahn Buddhadāsa, namely: “Kamma in Buddhism”, “Living in the Present”, and “Getting Started in Mindfulness with Breathing”.
Earlier in May 2017, 12,000 copies of the three booklets (First Edition) were printed and completely distributed in conjunction with Wesak Day. Requests for the books are still coming in; thus necessitating a reprint.
Sponsorship of any amount is welcome for printing the books. Donors may bank in or transfer funds to “Nalanda Buddhist Society” Maybank Account: 5121-4703-9185. Contributions can be made from today until Sunday, 2 July.
After banking in your donation, kindly e-mail to email@example.com or call Nalanda’s office at 03-8938-1500 to notify us. We would want to issue an official receipt and send it to you to acknowledge your sponsorship.
Customarily, Nalanda does not practise printing the names of donors in the sponsored books. We encourage sponsors to rejoice in their meritorious deeds, and be content to remain “nameless” and “selfless”.
“The gift of Dhamma excels all gifts!” Let us honour the Buddha and compassionately share His Teachings through the publication of these insightful booklets! Thank you.
