BPS404 commenced with keen learning on Buddhist history

Over the past three weeks, BPS404 participants have been gathering every Saturday afternoon at K. Sri Dhammananda Centre, putting in effort to deepen their understanding of Buddhist history, the first module of the course.  Through attentive learning, participants are building a stronger understanding of the Buddha’s dispensation.

Sri Dhammananda Centre (across the main road from Nalanda Centre) from 2 to 6pm. Registration opens at 1.15pm and we encourage you to arrive early to settle in. Nalanda youth leaders graduate with Master of Arts in Buddhist Studies

Nalanda members and devotees extend our heartiest congratulations to Bro. Yeo Disheng and Bro. Lim Ajit, Nalanda Youth leaders on receiving their Master of Arts in Buddhist Studies from the University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka.  Nalanda Buddhist Society had sponsored their participation in the inaugural academic year of Vidyacarana Buddhist Resource under the tutelage of Ven. K.L. Dhammajoti.

Learning with Āyasmā Aggacitta at Gradual Training Sutta Study

On Saturday 10 May, the first programme of Nalanda’s Buddha Day Observance B.E. 2569 commenced early in the morning at Nalanda Centre with 60 participants joining the Gradual Training Sutta Study and Meditation Workshop guided by Āyasmā Aggacitta.  The participants and facilitators who had begun preparations with pre-workshop discussions online, joyfully met up to learn in-person from Āyasmā.

Gratitude abounds at BPS 307 Convocation Ceremony

On Saturday 9 November, Nalanda Institute Malaysia hosted the Convocation Ceremony & Gratitude Day for graduates of BPS 307 - Certificate in Buddhist Studies.  Over 100 people were present to celebrate this milestone for 57 graduates who persevered over the past five months in learning basic Buddhist Doctrines, as well as imbuing Dhamma practices and reflections into their daily lives.
