Happy ‘Malaysia Day’ 2019

Today marks the 56th anniversary of the formation of ‘Malaysia’ – a federation of 13 states spanning the Malay Peninsula, Sarawak, and Sabah.  Our beloved home, a multi-ethnic and multi-religious nation, continues to enjoy peace and harmony today as a result of our fellow citizens’ mutual respect, understanding and acceptance.  We wish all Malaysians a joyful celebration of nationhood.  “Dirgahayu Malaysia”!

62 years ago, a nation was born to the jubilant cries of “Merdeka!”, having triumphed in a long journey of great determination and patriotism.  The people of this nation have since demonstrated the same unrelenting zeal to keep the country together.  Through difficulties and challenges, Malaysians revealed maturity and prioritised harmony out of love for our home.
