Just this morning, Saturday 17 May, Nalanda leaders and volunteers joined the Buddhist community at the Selangor State-level Wesak celebrations hosted by Maha Karuna Buddhist Society in Elmina, Shah Alam. The state-level Wesak celebrations which was launched by the Selangor State Government on 20 April 2025, culminated in today’s gathering of Selangor State representatives, Sangha members, Buddhist community leaders and devotees.
Today’s celebration was officiated by YB Ng Sze Han, Member of the Selangor State Executive Council & Chairman of the State’s Interfaith Committee (LIMAS), who shared the importance of inter-faith harmony and respect. Ven. Sri Saranankara Adhikarana Nāyaka Thero also addressed the audience and expressed his gratitude to everyone for supporting this event.
Nalanda leaders and members joyfully join in the capacity of participants and volunteers at the event.
