From 21 to 23 November, Nalanda volunteers participated in the Dhamma Therapy II Workshop organised by Sāsanārakkhā Buddhist Sanctuary to deepen their understanding of mental health and strengthen their capacity to serve. Through insights shared by Dhamma teachers, lecturers, neurologists, and clinical psychologists, they learned that many modern mental health challenges had already been analysed by the Buddha over 2,600 years ago.
Throughout the workshop, Nalanda volunteers reflected on how these teachings can help them understand their own minds and support others with greater empathy. We thank Āyasmā Aggacitta, all speakers, and the organisers for offering this meaningful learning opportunity, which further enriches our volunteers’ service to the community.
