From 31 January to 2 February 2026, 80 students and facilitators from Nalanda Dhamma School, along with youth volunteers, came together for a stay-in programme at Nalanda Centre. Guided by the theme “Respect Starts with Me”, the programme provided meaningful opportunities for students to learn the Dhamma, practise mindfulness and strengthen their bonds with spiritual friends.
Throughout the programme, students participated in Dhamma learning sessions, meditation, chanting and workshops, including an orientation session to help new students understand basic chanting and Buddhist culture. Teenage Dhamma School students also went on a study trip to Seri Negara, where they developed a deeper respect for Malaysia’s history, cultural diversity and the values of independence and harmony. Junior students, meanwhile, practised plogging at a nearby park, learning respect through care for the environment.
We express our heartfelt appreciation to the Dhamma School facilitators and volunteers for organising this meaningful programme. May the students continue to cultivate respect, wisdom and friendship, and support one another as they walk the Dhamma path. Sadhu anumodana!
