From 6 to 8 March, Nalanda youth members gathered at Wisdom Park for a meaningful stay-in programme incorporating service and learning while strengthening bonds of friendship. It was a wonderful opportunity for youths to care for the educational campus while deepening their connection with the Dhamma and with one another.
In their service, they learned to prune trees and turn composting as well as worked together to clean and prepare rooms for an upcoming retreat. Beyond service, the youths spent time in chanting, meditation, Dhamma discussions and reading a Dhamma book together, creating a space for learning and reflection.

Discussing how to cultivate Dhamma in daily life and developing wise perspectives towards issues pertaining to the youths.

A quiet group reading of Ajahn Buddhadasa’s book “The Prison of Life” and reflecting on the teachings.
On the final day, the youths went on a picnic to a waterfall near Wisdom Park. Navigating slippery rocks, flowing water and narrow paths together made the journey both challenging and memorable.
This stay-in programme not only offered an opportunity for selfless service, but also strengthened friendships and community spirit among the youths. We rejoice in their joyful efforts and dedication. Sadhu anumodāna!

Giving with a heart of joy – youths flipping the compost that is used as fertiliser for Wisdom Park’s trees and plants.
