Today is the 108th birth anniversary of the late Venerable Ajahn Chah Subhado, a revered Thai monk who had inspired thousands of Thai and foreign bhikkhus to practise according to the ‘forest monk’ tradition, who are now great teachers that teach the Dhamma to laity around the world. His teachings and legacy continue to encourage many to deepen our practice and our path towards liberation.
May we take this opportunity to commemorate and reflect on this great monk’s teachings and life, as well as deepen our realisation of Dhamma through our own practice.
“Strengthening the mind is not done by making it move around as is done to strengthen the body, but by bringing the mind to a halt, bringing it to rest.” ― Ajahn Chah
