This morning at 9.32am, two helicopters collided mid-air during a rehearsal for upcoming 90th Naval Day celebration, resulting in the loss of ten lives. The collision occurred at the TLDM stadium within the Lumut naval base in the state of Perak. Regrettably, all victims were pronounced dead on site and were subsequently transported to the Lumut army base hospital for identification.

With the easing of restrictions, Buddhists have been able to meet face-to-face, keeping the fervour of kalyana mitta burning bright in our community. I do hope that we will soon close the unfortunate chapter of the Covid-19 pandemic with a deep measure of optimism.
