Gratitude on Sangha Day B.E. 2569

On Sunday 9 November, Nalanda members and devotees gathered for the commemoration of the annual ‘Sangha Day’ at Nalanda Centre. The service started with meditation, offerings, chanting, followed by Dhamma talks in English and Mandarin by Bro. Tan Siang Chye and Sis. Nandinī Tan on the indispensable role of the Sangha in our spiritual journey. Their reflections reminded us of the noble aspirations of the monastic community and the importance of lay support in sustaining their noble pursuit.

The Organising Team and volunteers thoughtfully prepared robes and requisites which were offered to the Sangha. Dhamma School students also contributed by preparing requisites with care and gratitude to support the daily needs of monks. With appreciation in our hearts, the elderly, families, and friends presented their offerings to the Sangha members in a warm and heartfelt ceremony.

We rejoice in this meaningful opportunity to cultivate generosity and to express our deepest gratitude to the Sangha. Our sincere appreciation goes to the venerable monks, the organising team, volunteers, and devotees for making this year’s Sangha Day a joyful and meritorious observance for the community. May the Buddha-Sāsana long endure. Sādhu anumodanā.
