Volunteers gear-up for ‘Buddha Day’

Volunteers gear-up for ‘Buddha Day’

Sis. Sunanda Ong sharing insights with volunteers about Buddha Day.

On Sunday 27 April, Nalanda Volunteer Centre hosted and welcomed over 100 volunteers to gear up for this year’s ‘Buddha Day’ B.E. 2569 Observance.  Both new and regular volunteers learned about the host of programmes and exhibitions planned from 10 to 18 May and gathered with their team leads to deepen their understanding of their roles.

We are truly appreciative of our volunteers, who have put aside their own ‘wants’ to serve the community with the spirit of selfless service.  The full-moon day of Vesakha is just 11 days away, and we look forward to welcome you for a meaningful observance together as a community.

The briefing started with offerings and chanting.

Bro. Tong Siong Yeow hosted the briefing.

Joyful service with good friends.

Sis. Loh Pei Qi, the Co-Chairperson for Buddha Day shared about the objectives of the programmes.

Each team discussed their roles in serving the community.
