In the past weeks, Nalanda members, devotees, volunteers, Dhamma School facilitators and students have been coming together to prepare for this year’s Buddha Day Observance. With a line-up of programmes over a week, everyone has been able to contribute their skills and many even developed new skills as they stepped up to help.
Working harmoniously together as a community, appreciation abounds for the mutual support and care shown for each other. Learning from direct experience, volunteers find that any work, however challenging or voluminous, becomes much easier when there is mutual respect, humility and cooperation as friends work together.
As the final touches are put in place today, we look forward to welcome the wider community for a meaningful and spiritual Wesak. Do invite your friends and family along for the programmes at Nalanda Centre and NEO Centres in Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru and Sungai Petani. For the full list of programmes, visit www.wesak.org.my. See you at Nalanda!
Dhamma School students form the ensemble team that guides the procession with traditional beating of drums and gongs.
