We thank Ven. Pariyano and all devotees for enabling the Buddhist community to partake in this wholesome deed of giving.
On Saturday 7 June, Nalanda KL Branch members and volunteers hosted the monthly Pindacāra at the OUG and Happy Garden morning markets. Led by Venerable Pariyano, the alms-round offered laypeople a precious opportunity to cultivate generosity (dāna) and to give to those worthy of support.
An offering, no matter how big or small, made with pure intentions becomes a cause for great happiness and plants seeds of liberation. Indeed, every offering in the market — whether food, requisites, a smile, or a moment of reverence, can inspire others to participate and do good.
In the lunch dāna at NEO Centre KL, Ven. Pariyano shared his heartfelt aspiration to establish a Dhamma school in his homeland, Belarus. Buddhist education enables people to improve their lives with happiness, peace and contentment; moreover the propagation of Dhamma contributes towards preserving the Sāsana.
We wish Ven. Pariyano good health and may his noble aspirations be successful. We also rejoice in the good deeds of the community; may every act of dāna through mindful giving, and compassion becomes a step towards liberation.
