The entourage of 40 participants was privilege to be guided by Bro. H S Tan and hosted by Nalanda Sungai Petani Branch.

On Saturday 22 November, they were ready to sit for the course examination at Nalanda Centre. On 25 and 26 October, the final two sessions of the Mandarin Buddhist Studies Course (Semester 2) was conducted by Sis. Nandini Tan at NEO Centre Johor Bahru. Sis. Nandini gave separate lectures on the ‘Four Noble Truths’ and ‘Noble Eightfold Path’. Six new participants joined the weekend’s class and showed great enthusiasm by arriving early at the Centre to learn the Dhamma.

On Saturday 18 October, Lecture 9 of the on-going BPS402 – Higher Certificate in Buddhist Studies was held at Nalanda Centre, Sri Serdang. Bro. Ananda Fong delivered the lecture on ‘Buddhist Polity & Economics’. Bro. Ananda Fong discussed several suttas which mentioned the cycles of expansion and contraction of the World, the duties of a monarch/government, and the conditions leading to a nation’s welfare.
