On Tuesday 4 March, Nalanda Youth Centre started its 8-week ‘Happy Young Adults’ Programme, a platform dedicated for young adults, to learn to thrive and overcome stress at work and in life. Held at Nalanda Education & Outreach Centre in Happy Garden, young working adults from different industries gather to learn from corporate leaders and professionals, reflecting on how they can apply their lives to the Dhamma.

The meeting commenced with a warm welcoming speech from Branch Chairperson Sis. Ong Ai Geok who thanked all members for a fruitful year together. Sis. Read moreNEO Centre Kuala Lumpur is honoured to host Venerable Jutipañño Mahāthero on Saturday, 8 March for a Dhamma teaching. A monk of Malaysian Chinese descent, Ven. Jutipañño was ordained at Wat Bhodhisampan, Chonburi in 1991. He returned to Malaysia from Thailand in 2000, and established Dhamma Light Meditation Centre at Api-Api, Johor, where he currently serves as its abbot. Ven. Jutipañño also previously served on the Monastic Advisory Panel of Theravāda Buddhist Council of Malaysia.

Nalanda branches will hold their A.G.M. at the respective branches, starting with Sungai Petani Branch at 2pm this Saturday 22 February, followed by Johor Bahru Branch at 2pm on Sunday 2 March, and Kuala Lumpur Branch at 9am on Saturday 8 March. Serdang Headquarters will hold the A.G.M. on 16 March at 2pm.

Dhammajoti graduated from the University of Kelaniya in Sri Lanka with a doctorate in philosophy. His teaching career started in 1982 as a senior lecturer with the university and became a professor 10 years later.
