The evening service will commence at 8pm with chanting, meditation followed by a Dhamma talk by Ven. Ajahn Visālo.  We look forward to welcoming you at Nalanda Centre.  All are welcome!

PROFILE OF VEN. AJAHN VISĀLO

Ven. Ajahn Visālo was born in Central Java, Indonesia in 1977 where he was raised in a Catholic family.  In university, he practised meditation according to the Hindu tradition and trained as a Hindu monk (swami) at the age of 22.

After reading a book by Ajahn Chah, Ajahn visited Wat Pah Nanachat where he ordained in 2008 under Luang Por Liem, the Abbot of Wat Nong Pah Pong.  He is presently in the process of setting up a forest monastery in the lineage of Ajahn Chah in Bali, Indonesia which is named Wat Pah Bodhirama (Bodhirama Forest Monastery).
