Spending time Wisely and Fruitfully

Students at Nalanda Dharma School are making full use of their current school holidays to learn Dhamma and to serve the community.  After coming back from a teenagers’ learning camp in Johor Bahru a week ago, many of them left again on 10 June to help organise another camp in Kelantan from 12 to 14 June.

Another “Dhammaduta Mission” to Kelantan

At 7.30 pm this evening, Nalanda Dharma School (NDS) facilitators and students gathered at Nalanda Centre for Pūja before departing by bus to Kelantan.  They are on a “Dhammaduta Mission” there to help organize a Dhamma School Teachers’ Workshop, as well as a Teenagers’ Learning Camp.

Thank you for another Joyful Camp

Nalanda Dharma School facilitators and students have just returned from a joyful teenagers’ learning camp held in Johor Bahru from 31 May to 3 June.  We would like to thank Nalanda Johor Bahru Branch members, all sponsors, facilitators, volunteers, and participants for your effort and contribution towards this marvelous camp!  May all of us continue to grow in the Dhamma. Dharma School Students left for ‘Mission’ in J.B.

At 7.00 a.m. this morning, Nalanda Dharma School teachers and students gathered for Pūja at Nalanda Centre before departing for Johor Bahru for a teenagers’ leadership camp.  Nalanda Founder Bro. Tan, President Lee Kong Foo, and Secretary Buddhini Tan were also present to wish the group a safe and successful trip.

“Lead-A-Ship” Teenage Camp

On 22-25 March, Nalanda Dharma School organized a 4-day Leadership Camp at Samadhi Vihāra, Shah Alam.  The camp themed ‘Lead-A-Ship’ aimed to cultivate and enhance leadership skills among teenagers.  A total of 55 participants aged 14 – 17 years old who came from various states participated in this meaningful camp.

Dharma School Mission to Kelantan

A team of 12 Nalandians led by Dharma School Director Sis. Sunanda Ong left Nalanda Centre at 8.00pm this evening for an overnight train ride to Kelantan.  The Nalanda team comprising 3 teachers and 9 all-boys student group will stay in Bachok, Kelantan for 5 days to conduct a Dhamma camp for local teenagers.  In the meantime, Sis. Sunanda will also conduct a separate training session for Kelantanese Dhamma School volunteer-teachers.

Children’s Learning Camp

The Nalanda Children’s Learning Camp was held over 4 days from 25 to 28 November, and participated by primary school pupils aged 9 to 12. Following the success of the Teenager’s Learning Camp, students and facilitators of Nalanda Dharma School put in more hard-work to organise the annual camp with just a week’s interval! 62 participants spent time fruitfully at Nalanda Centre learning about love and happiness.

Meaningful Days with Beautiful Friends

With the start of year-end school break, 51 teenagers participated in a fruitful learning camp held at Nalanda Centre from 18 – 21 November.  Targeted at secondary school students from 13 to 17 years old, the participants converged from various parts of Klang Valley, Kelantan, Terengganu, Kedah, Johor, and even from Singapore.

Joyful Teenage Learning Camp

Nalanda Teenagers’ Learning Camp is in session now!  With the theme “Beautiful Friends”, this year’s camp attracted 51 participants between 13 – 17 years old, who came from the Klang Valley, Kelantan, Terengganu, Johor and Singapore. Read more
