In 2018, Venerable re-ordained as a Theravada Bhikkhu under Venerable Dvipitaka Sayadaw Ashin Kovidābhivamsa in Penang, and trained in Bodhivana Buddhist Hermitage, Kuching.

The monks hailed from various provinces across the Indonesian islands, where they have been serving the local communities under the guidance of the Sangha Governance Council of STI.
