Fong updated members on the proposed building plans for NEO Centre Sungai Petani with beautiful slides. They briefed members of the procedures ahead – to obtain members’ approval for the plan and thereafter to call tenders.

Tan and Nalanda’s Board of Management on plans to construct the proposed Nalanda Education & Outreach (NEO) Centre in Bandar Mutiara, Sungai Petani.
Read moreOn Sunday 23 November, 8 members from 3 Buddhist organisations in Kedah – Young Buddhist Association Malaysia (Kedah Liaison Committee), Gurun Buddhist Association and Guar Chempedak Buddhist Society – made a study visit to Nalanda Centre, Sri Serdang. The visitors participated in the pūja and chanting at our Service Sunday; after which they were brought on a tour of Nalanda Centre and Nalanda Youth Centre. Our Kedahan visitors were impressed with the peaceful ambience and functionality of the Centre.

Read moreOn 25 and 26 October, the final two sessions of the Mandarin Buddhist Studies Course (Semester 2) was conducted by Sis. Nandini Tan at NEO Centre Johor Bahru. Sis. Nandini gave separate lectures on the ‘Four Noble Truths’ and ‘Noble Eightfold Path’. Six new participants joined the weekend’s class and showed great enthusiasm by arriving early at the Centre to learn the Dhamma.
