Young Working Adults’ Forum – register now

In conjunction with the Ven. K. Sri Dhammananda’s 20th Memorial Observance, Nalanda Youth Centre is organising a Young Working Adults Forum to explore how we can cultivate healthier perspectives towards change as a natural part of life. The forum, themed “When Life Changes Faster Than You’re Ready For”, features a panel of entrepreneurs and corporate leaders who will share their personal experiences navigating unexpected challenges and turning points in their careers.

Youth undergraduates stay-in to learn together

From 3 to 5 April, the Nalanda Youth Centre hosted a 3 day 2 night stay-in programme at Wisdom Park for undergraduates. With the theme “Strength in Serenity”, this stay-in aimed to help students strengthen their minds to face life’s difficulties while learning to incorporate Buddhist principles into daily living.

Youths Stay-in at Wisdom Park

From 6 to 8 March, Nalanda youth members gathered at Wisdom Park for a meaningful stay-in programme incorporating service and learning while strengthening bonds of friendship. It was a wonderful opportunity for youths to care for the educational campus while deepening their connection with the Dhamma and with one another.

Youths go hiking with spiritual friends

On Sunday 18 January 2026, Nalanda Youth Centre came together before sunrise, eager to start the new year with a refreshing outdoor hike at Bukit Gasing. The youths gathered at an open field, taking the opportunity to have light conversations and get to know one another first before the host welcomed everyone, lifting the group’s spirits and energy.

Youth leaders share their journey at Special Youth Dialogue

In conjunction with WACANA 2025, the youth continued their discussions at Nalanda Centre, Sri Serdang as part of the Field Engagement Session on Sunday 21 December.  The dialogue brought together a panel of Buddhist youth leaders from Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia featuring Bro. Yeo Disheng (founding leader of Nalanda Youth Centre), Bro. Teo Heng Xuan (founder of DAYWA and Handful of Leaves) and Bro. Willing Chen (founding member of the Widyodaya Buddhist Community).

Youth Dialogue – Engaging youths in Dhamma

Across Malaysia, temples and Buddhist organisations that once buzzed with intergenerational activities now wonder how to engage youths who find traditional formats uninspiring.  These aren’t abstract problems – they are the daily reality for countless communities. We invite you to join this special dialogue, a platform for honest conversations about these challenges and the strategies to overcome them, led by Bro. Yeo Disheng, Bro. Teo Heng Xuan and Bro. Willing Chen – three dynamic leaders recognised for championing youth empowerment and community building. The service starts at 9am on Sunday 21 December at Nalanda Centre.  All are welcome.
