A retreat of joy, serenity and harmony

From 1 to 6 July, Friends of Wisdom Park Singapore Chapter gathered for a joyful Dhamma Camp led by Ven. Ajahn Hasapañña and Ven. Jotika. Through daily Dhamma teachings, group discussions, and guided meditation sessions, participants deepened their understanding and practice in the peaceful surroundings of Wisdom Park.

Throughout the retreat, participants reflected on essential Dhamma teachings, including recognising anger as an unwholesome mental state that brings suffering. Guided by the teachers, they learned to meet anger with mindfulness, investigate its causes, and gradually let it go through wisdom and patience. The teachings also highlighted the importance of maintaining continuous mindfulness in daily life, enabling practitioners to respond to changing conditions with greater clarity and composure.

Everyone pondered about the Dhamma teachings they learnt from the Dhamma Camp.

Through listening to the Dhamma, wise reflection, and meditation, participants deepened their understanding of Right View and gained valuable insights into the nature of the mind. Guided by the Sangha and supported by harmonious spiritual friendship, the retreat provided a meaningful opportunity to cultivate inner peace, wisdom, and the joy of walking the Noble Path together.
