Read moreOn Saturday 14 January, Nalanda Institute held a Convocation Ceremony and Gratitude Day for graduates of BPS304 Certificate in Buddhist Studies who successfully completed their course in December 2016. The day marked the culmination of months of lectures, assignments, presentations and written evaluation throughout the whole course, and naturally the graduates received their certificates and transcripts with much joy and satisfaction.

Read moreNalanda Buddhist Society would like to thank His Majesty Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah of Kedah who is stepping down as the 14th Yang Di-Pertuan Agong today after a successful five-year reign. His Majesty was elected Malaysia’s Supreme Ruler for the second time on 13 December 2011. He was the country’s 5th Yang Di-Pertuan Agong from 1970 to 1975.

The occasion also provided an opportunity for students to show their gratitude and appreciation to their teachers. Some students came up with a dance performance which greatly amused everyone present.
