Nalanda Buddhist Society would like to thank His Majesty Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah of Kedah who is stepping down as the 14th Yang Di-Pertuan Agong today after a successful five-year reign. His Majesty was elected Malaysia’s Supreme Ruler for the second time on 13 December 2011. He was the country’s 5th Yang Di-Pertuan Agong from 1970 to 1975.
Read moreOn Saturday 22 October, Nalanda Free School held its annual ‘Appreciation Day’ to honour all its volunteer teachers who have lovingly given their time and effort to educate the community. The occasion also provided an opportunity for students to show their gratitude and appreciation to their teachers. Some students came up with a dance performance which greatly amused everyone present.

WPDC was formed in October 2015 with initially 13 members, and was tasked with preparing the ‘Master Development Plan’ for Wisdom Park – the proposed education hub for the Malaysian Buddhist community. 3 more members were later invited to join WPDC to strengthen the team.
