Early this morning, facilitators and students from the Teenage Dhamma School in Serdang gathered at Nalanda Centre for an inspiring start to their journey to Dhamma Light Meditation Centre in Pontian, Johor. The group united in chanting and participated in a meaningful flag handover ceremony.

Teenagers’ meaningful visit to children home

On Sunday 10 November, Nalanda Teenage Dhamma School facilitators and students visited Bodhi Homecare in Cheras as part of their Karuna Project, which encourages students to turn compassion into action. The visit provided students with an opportunity to connect with the resident children and offer meaningful assistance.

Uplifting retreat for Dhamma School facilitators

From 31 October to 2 November, Nalanda Dhamma School facilitators from Serdang, Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru schools gathered at Wisdom Park for a rejuvenating retreat. Centred around the theme of “Mindful and Purposeful Living,” this annual retreat offered facilitators an opportunity to deepen their Dhamma practice and strengthen their skills as compassionate and competent educators.

Teenage Dhamma School ‘Bergotong-Royong’ at local park

On Sunday 27 October, Nalanda Teenage Dhamma School facilitators and students extended their service in a hands-on recycling project focused on environmental responsibility and sustainability at the Taman Permainan & Rekreasi Tasik, Sri Serdang.  This initiative is part of the 'Karuna Project', whereby after a year of learning in Dhamma School, students put the knowledge, skills, values and culture they learned into action. This wholesome activity to clean public spaces and collect recyclable items helped students to understand more about service, civic duty and handling of recyclable materials.
