Nalanda Education Committee meeting

On Thursday 29 January 2026, the Nalanda Education Committee kicked off its first meeting of the year with drafting plans for the 20th Memorial Day of Nalanda’s late Spiritual Advisor – Ven. K. Sri Dhammananda. This monthly meeting brings together the head of Nalanda educational divisions to strategise and synergise efforts to ensure every division are aligned in its direction and efforts.

Growing kind hearts through learning

Over the first two sessions of Dhamma School, students explored the value of loving-kindness through the Garden of Kind Hearts. Each small act of mettā was seen as a seed, reminding students that even simple, intentional gestures can grow into wisdom, compassion, and positive habits when nurtured with care and consistency.

Coming together for 2026’s first Samaggi Service

Last Sunday 25 January 2026, Nalanda members, devotees, youths, together with Dhamma School facilitators and students gathered for the year’s first Samaggi Sunday Service. Sis. Santi Cheang, Assistant Honorary Secretary of the Society, delivered the Samaggi message and reminded the congregation of the importance of harmony — harmony within ourselves, and harmony with one another.

A Joyful Beginning for Nalanda Dhamma School 2026

The new Dhamma School year began on a wholesome note as Nalanda Dhamma School sessions commenced across Sri Serdang, Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru over the weekend. On Sunday 18 January, the first sessions of Nalanda Teenage and Junior Dhamma Schools and the Parents Induction Programme (PIP) were held at Nalanda Centre, Sri Serdang. The first session set a calm and purposeful tone for the year, reminding students that Dhamma learning is a gradual and meaningful process that supports character development, mindfulness, and wise living in daily life.

On Wednesday 31 December 2025, Nalanda Dhamma School facilitators, Nalanda leaders, volunteers, students and parents gathered joyfully at Nalanda Centre for the annual School Appreciation and Honours Day.  This cherished tradition offered a meaningful opportunity for everyone to reflect, rejoice and give thanks for a year of Dhamma learning, personal growth and selfless service.

On Saturday 29 November, Nalanda Family Dhamma School Johor Bahru held its  Appreciation and Honours Day at Nalanda Education & Outreach Centre, Johor Bahru.
