On Saturday 10 January 2026, a group of Nalanda members and volunteers gathered at Wisdom Park, Kuala Kubu Bharu, for a joyful day of service and uplifting fellowship. The group joined hands to set up the venue and prepare accommodation for the participants of the upcoming meditation retreat with Venerable Gavesi, to be held from 16 – 25 January 2026. The spirit of joyful service, cooperation, and mutual care was strongly felt throughout the day, strengthening bonds among kalyāṇamitta.

Even more significant was having a bhikkhuni to lead the Pindacāra! As Ven. Ayya Sanghamitta walked mindfully on alms round, her serene presence inspired devotees and marketgoers alike to joyfully come forward with offerings, creating a beautiful atmosphere filled with faith, generosity, and reverence.

We were privileged to host the four-fold Sangha of monks, nuns, male and female laity to look deeper into the Buddha’s teaching of “Avoid the Unwholesome, Cultivate the Wholesome and Purify One's Mind” for our own cultivation and equally for the growth of the community.
